The Installation Process
An adult (someone who is at least 18 years old) should be home to greet the installation crew and direct them to the work area. From there, you will need to keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is complete.
Depending on the type of vinyl you have selected for installation, the process will vary in duration. There are two main kinds: glue-down and self-stick. If you have self-stick vinyl, it will be simpler to install since the adhesive backing eliminates the need for glue. Glue-down vinyl will require more work.
After Installation
You will want to establish good ventilation for at least 48 hours after the installation, especially if you are sensitive to odors. You may need to avoid walking on your new flooring for some time to give the adhesive time to properly set; the installation crew will be able to advise you on this.
